I never thought I would do it...find a brand that I was willing to put my own name on. I have been a makeup artist for a long time...too long to tell you because then you might be able to figure out my age ;)

But seriously. I am a makeup junkie. JUNKIEEEEEEE! I try everything. While I lived in the middle east Maskcara IIID foundation came out and I LOVED the concept and tried and tried to get my hands on some. But it never worked out. Fast forward MANY years...and I move back to the states and see something online about Maskcara and immediately order it. THEN...oh the dreaded drop! I find out that it is a direct sales company. Ohhhhh noooooo! Not for me, AT ALL! I'm not a seller. I don't sell things. Then I put it on my face! The heavens opened and I LOVED it. I tested it endlessly. And it literally made my stomach turn that this makeup was direct sales. I loved it. I would just buy it for my makeup kit and revamp my makeup artist career. My youngest was in Kindergarten, I LOVE helping people find their beauty and emphasize it and I had time. So, that was the plan. Then I realized...every time I do someone's makeup they ask for THE LIST. You know, that list where you write down every single product you used on their face and then they take it to Sephora and purchase it all? That list. I realized that Maskcara would now be making that list and why should someone else profit off of my work and expensively earned advice?? I put in the research on every single product I place on a clients face. That is my own time and money. And I can send the client to sephora or another Maskcara artist...and suddenly I didn't see the point. I took the plunge and signed on as an artist.

I no longer spend time searching for products that I can't seem to organize properly. I now get to help women achieve the look of a makeup artist EVERYDAY without the cost or the expertise. I literally have friends now that look like I go to their house and spend an hour doing their makeup...yet it only took them 5 minutes at a fraction of the cost. It has changed their life. They can get out the door without the hassle. They can take the makeup with them and apply it on the fly...and look like they are ready for a photoshoot.

I sincerely love Maskcara. Sincerely. I love that as an artist I can email them and say: this would look better this way and they listen and change accordingly. Cara from Maskcara (below) is brilliant! She has created a company that by the sheer quality pulls in artists who are both professionals and every day women and utilizes them as a sounding board to continue to improve and be on the cutting edge of the beauty industry.
